Exercising
This week, I want to work out at least four days... I've been awful so far this semester, although better than last semester... I've worked out a whole three times in two weeks! Considering that I've had four swim meets in the last week, that's not so bad. I need to lose some weight and I want to watch some Pushing Daisies. Then I gotta decide what to watch next.

Ok so i failed at working out Monday and yesterday
But I did work out today after class. And, weighed myself first, and weighed in at 180.5, so I somehow managed to lose 3.5 lbs since Sunday.

Huh.

Anyway, ran for 30 mintues (and 2.9 miles) today
did a 10 minute quick abs thing

another attempt by alli to lose weight begins today...
I went to the gym on base today, after dad dropped me off. I've been over the 160lb weight limit for my height since November (though, strangely, over thanksgiving I went from 176 to 170...)

Well, I did work out off and on over the underway, not as often as I wanted, but usually 3 days a week or so, except the week we were in Thailand. It's hard to run on the ship though, especially first week, when due to weather we had heavy seas...

Well, I weighed myself today, before I worked out. How much do I weigh? 184. pounds. That's the most I've ever weighed, that I can recall. So yeah, that's some motivation...

So, anyway, my workout:

warm up- the jog to the gym (about 5 minutes away)
stretching- 7 minutes
treadmill- 30 minutes (5.5 mph first 15 mins, 6 next 12, 6.5 final 3)
abs- sit ups, crunches (15 minutes)
bike- random hills for 15 minutes

I miss yoga...

after the near death experience last night driving out to mission beach with jenn trying to find a place to run, we went back out there today and ran the board walk. was i think 3 miles total that i ran. then we walked down to the first jetty and back. was a good run, will probably go tomorrow.

i had hoped to swim today, cause we gto done with the lectures by 11 and the lab took 20 minutes, but they ahd a system issue and it took an hour to get hte system abck up so i didnt get to the lab til 12, and by the time we got back to fleet asw, i wouldnt have had enough time to swim before they closed the pool. so here is hoping on friday havign a lab group that will let me have some time in there to swim.

i have a pool!
Or, access to one anyway :) there is a lovely pool just outside my boq :)

I swam 1100 today. I know, not much, especially compared to swim practices, but i havent swam in over a year and a half. at all. and my shoulders and ellbows were/are very sore from pulling my 97 lbs of luggage (not including my backpack and laptop holder) around two airports.

5x100's fairly moderate speed. alternated a few 25's with backstroke, but was hard cause the sun was righ above me and i didnt have goggles anyway
10x50's faster, including 3 sprints
1x 100 cool down. was planning on a 200 but my shoulders were like "we arent workign anymore ok good bye"

then i sprawled out on a lawn chair by the pool in the sun for 30 minutes or so listening to the corrs on my ipod.

the only problem with the pool? mon-fri they are only open 8-2, which means i wont be able to swim during the week. but weekends i can do.

oh, i also came back and did 100 situps

Monday-Wednesday:
walked probably 6 miles all three days, running around to do stuff for the academic center

wednesday:
Ran 3 miles, did 100 situps, did 300 crunches, and 150 side crunches each side

saturday:
ran 5 miles, did 100 situps, 300 crunches on some weird ass ab-contraption at the gym.
Had dad ask me if i thought it weird that i was in shape given that he never sees me work out. glared at him as i ran and he walked on the treadmills

had an hour long yoga class yesterday. was good, given that its been.... 9? 8? months since i last did yoga. Wish i had my mat, instead of shipping it to japan, the one i used was really fucking slippery, hard on my hands and wrists for downward facing dog. felt really good after, though the room was really warm, even the instructor was surprised at how hot it was in there. i stood up and literally had sweat roll off. which also didn't help my hands on the mat.

went for a run today, short, only about 30 minutes, through the neighborhood, with sprints at the end. wanted to get a run in, since i won't be going to yoga tomorrow what with taking jenny to go see HP :) also, had crap tonne of energy to use. this sitting on my ass all day at work thing sucks. its worse than being in school. at least at school, every 55 minutes i got to stand up and walk around.

i dont remember
and am too lazy to look up if i posted a few weeks ago...

but about 2 weeks ago, i went running about 2-3 miles for about 5 days, and went to the gym and ran for 45 minutes and biked for 30 there.

today:

ran 4 miles in 45 minutes (this included a 5 minute or so period of walking about 23 minutes in) at increasing 5-7.5 mph
biked 30 minutes and 10.85 miles
joined the gym

and yay! the gym has a yoga class tomorrow night!

Was a lazy bugger this weekend. But on the up side I got more studying done?

I rode on Sunday (and clung for dear life as my pyschohorse decided the rain was going to EAT him), that was the extent of my physical activities between Friday and Monday. I = suck.

Tuesday: 
Box fit class. With mits and pads again! SO much fun. And back sore again the next day, but good building-up-muscles-that-have-never-been-used sore. 

Wednesday:
Rode. (Nice warm day, so he was a Lazy!Buddy, and we had a relaxing time)
45 minute walk back into town because I missed the (ten minutes early!) bus. Hate the buses.
30 minutes on the elliptical.
100 crunches
2x60 crunches with legs up
3x50 side crunches
65.75 kg

Today (Thursday):
5 miles in 48:50
100 crunches
2x60 crunches with legs up
3x50 side crunches
3x10 Front leg lifts
66 kg. (For fuck's sake!)

Yesterday because I forgot to post, oops...

Almost 5 miles (Ok, technically 46 minutes, but the treadmil crashed and I couldn't be arsed moving to another one and getting ti all going again for like 2 minutes. Espically cause it was like 9:45 pm)

Tuesday:
Morning: 3 miles in 29ish minutes
2x60 crunches with legs up
2x50 side crunches
Evening: Boxfit class (we got to use mits and pads! I love hitting the pads!)

Today (Wednesday):
5 miles in 48:45 (not bad)
100 crunches
2x60 crunches with legs up
2x50 side crunches
(and my back is kinda sore from the boxfit. Don't think I've used those muscles before...)

and my weight is holding steady at a disgustin 65.75 kg. I feel like a whale.

Forgot to post yesterday:

3x15 Lat Pull down (level 5)
3x15 Rear delts (level 1.33)
3x15 Pec fly (level 2)
3x15 chest press (40 lbs)
3x50 cruches
2x50 side crunches, each side

65.5kg. :(

Today:
5.5 miles in 53:10. (5 miles flat in 48:45, yeah getting some speed back!)
3x50 cruches
2x50 side crunches, each side

66kg, Blah, we're going to pretend that is just muscle I'm building up. 

Oh, and Wednesday I rode Buddy (<strike>who was a prat and wouldn't stay in a frame if his life depended on it</strike>) and did posting trot without irons for about 4 times around the school. Which is better than the barely one I could do last week. Thigh muscles, where have you gone?

Was a bit tired after my over-exuberance yesteraday, so decided to do two shorter, faster runs today:
2 miles in 20 min flat, half mile walk, then 2 miles in 19:30.
3x15 outer thighs - 95 lbs
2x15 inner thighs at 80lbs and 1x15 at 85lbs
3x15 leg press - 120 lbs (3x15 toe lifty things on it, too)
3x50 crunches
2x50 side crunches

And still on 65 kg, yey it wasn't a fluke!  Now to get *belows* 65 kg....

Off to the shower, becuase I smell.

Ran 5 miles today in 50:30 (finally getting faster! And the first couple of miles were SO much easier!)
3x15 horizontal chest press
3x15 pec fly
3x15 rear delts
2x50 crucnches
1x50 crunches with legs raised
2x50 side crunches (each side)

And I'm down the 65 kg, even though I've not been to the gym since Thursday (Friday I was a retard, and left my gym trousers at home). So hopefully that means my diet is working.

on saturday: ran two miles, did 3 sets each of 60 crunches, 60 side crunches (30 each side) and 45 situps

today: ran two miles, walked for 15 minutes at high pace, and found out that julia singing Nobody's Side makes for good running music. well... knew that on saturday... but still.... worked today too :)

its 85 fucking degrees out. the high is only sposed to be 77. at least its dry... i can guarantee that when we get back from intersessionals itll be hot and miserably humid.

Oh, and yesterday I went for an hour and a half trail ride, which left me with sore shoulders (from attempting to prevent my horse from running away with me) and sore thighs (from clinging for dear life).

It's about two weeks til exams. My stress level is through the roof, I'm not sleeping well, I'm losing my appetite, my friends are mad at me, and I'm drinking too much diet coke. Peachy.

6 miles ~59 minutes? (treadmill froze again)
3x10 chin assists, 3x15 dip assists (level 8)
3x15 inner thigh (85lbs) and outter thigh (100lbs)
4x50 crunches with knees up, 4x50 obligues
63.75 kg (great, a ball and one day off and I gain weight.)

Today - Garscube gym:
6 miles in 59:05.
2x50 crunches with knees up, 1x50 obligues
62.75 kg (better)
